This historic home is now offered for traveler rest and comfort. On Main Street in historic Grafton, IL, the Tidball House is close to so much that goes on in the busy little community of 720 souls.
Tidball House is designed to house groups. Our preference is to rent the entire house at one time…for a week’s stay, beginning Sunday afternoons, ending Saturday mornings. Those guests will take precedence. Only when the house is not that way occupied will we rent out rooms to individuals and for periods of less than a week.
The whole-house rent is $5,000 a week and includes the three bedrooms, the common rooms, breakfasts, and–when desired–dinners, laundry, and cleaning. The first question you’ll hear each day is “What would you like for breakfast?” Resident manager Brianne Zimmerman is not only an able housemother, she is a superbly imaginative cook. She can deliver old favorites and introduce you to some new dishes if you’re feeling adventurous.
We make use of as much local produce and livestock as possible.
